For publishers
Sell direct without giving away your list
You hold the rights. You should hold the customer record too. The reserve lets you fulfil protected files from your own site, at the same time as supplying every other channel you sell through.
The problem you actually have
Direct sales are the highest-margin channel you have and the one you are least equipped to run, because taking money is easy and delivering a protected file is not. So the catalogue goes to an aggregator, the margin goes with it, and the customer relationship never comes back.
Distribution through DMR is non-exclusive by design. Nothing here stops you selling through Ingram, Amazon or anyone else — it adds the one channel you currently cannot serve.
Talk it throughWhat changes
- Upload once
- Every edition of every title held in one repository, fulfilled to every channel from there.
- Sell, lend or licence
- The same file supports a perpetual sale, a timed loan and an institutional licence.
- Keep the customer
- Your storefront, your brand, your data. We never see or contact your buyer.
- Withdraw safely
- We retain the inventory so people who already bought a withdrawn title can still re-download it.
- See the downloads
- A downloads report you can reconcile against your own sales, online, whenever you want it.
Beyond the book
Most publisher catalogues now carry video — author events, companion courses, CPD modules — sitting on an unprotected platform because it was nobody's job.
- Companion video under the same terms
- Widevine and FairPlay protection, watermarked per viewer, sold or bundled alongside the book.
- Accessible editions
- EPUB 3 accessibility, NIMAS and DAISY production through NIMAS Master in the same group.
- Metadata that behaves
- ONIX for Books via OnixMaster, which also ships a web-store the reserve can fulfil behind.
Send us a title and a channel list.
We will show you the fulfilment path for that exact book, in your formats, and what direct sales would need from your site.
