Video

Video DRM and secure streaming

Studio-grade encryption, dynamic watermarking and an embeddable player — for course platforms, OTT catalogues and training libraries where one leaked file is the whole product.

A password on the page is not protection

Most video “security” stops at a login and a hidden URL. Neither survives a browser extension. Real protection means the file is never delivered in the clear: the browser or app decrypts it inside a hardware-backed module it does not control, under a licence your server issued for that viewer, for that session.

That is what Google Widevine and Apple FairPlay do, and it is what the video reserve gives you — with the watermarking, the device rules and the analytics you need to act when someone tries anyway.

Encryption

Google Widevine
Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Android, at the security level the device supports.
Apple FairPlay Streaming
Safari, iOS, iPadOS and tvOS.
Encrypted delivery end to end
No progressive-download fallback and no plain MP4 sitting behind a signed URL.
Adaptive bitrate
Multiple renditions per title so playback holds up on a 3G campus connection.

Beyond encryption

The layers that catch the determined viewer

Encryption stops the copy. These stop the camera, the shared password and the scraper.

Dynamic watermarking

Burned in per viewer
User ID, email, phone number or IP address, drawn over the picture at playback time and moved around the frame.
Traceable capture
A phone-camera recording still carries the identity of the account that played it.
Screen-capture blocking
Capture is blocked on mobile, and on Safari where the platform allows it.

Access rules

Geography and IP
Allow or deny by country and by address range.
Device binding
Cap the number of devices per account and block duplicate concurrent sessions.
Emulator and rooted-device blocking
Refuse playback where the sandbox itself cannot be trusted.
Signed playback tokens
Your backend authorises every session; a shared link expires with it.

Detection

Password sharing
Concurrency and device patterns that indicate one account serving many people.
Breach attempts
Sessions that look like an attempt to extract rather than to watch.
Per-user analytics
Watch time, completion, device and location — per viewer, not just per video.

Delivery

Hosting, player and pipeline

Upload and transcode
One master in; an adaptive ladder out, two-pass encoded so quality holds at low bitrates.
Multi-CDN delivery
Distributed edge delivery so a viewer in Lagos and a viewer in Leeds get the same start time.
Live streaming
HD live for lectures, events and launches, with pause, rewind and replay.
Offline viewing
Downloaded playback inside your app, still under licence and still expiring.
Embeddable HTML5 player
Your colours, your logo, your controls — speed, subtitles, seek and quality.
Mobile SDKs
Native Android and iOS, plus Flutter and React Native.
LMS and CMS plugins
WordPress and Moodle, so a course team can publish without a developer.
Subtitles and captions
Upload your own, or start from machine-generated English captions and correct them.

How it fits the document reserve

A single DMR account covers both. A course that ships a protected PDF workbook and a protected video module uses one contract, one portal and one set of usage reports — which is the part most institutions actually asked for.

Where it earns its keep

Sectors we build video protection for

E-learning and EdTech

Course video is the product and the pirate is often an enrolled student. Watermarking plus device caps turns leaking into an identified act rather than an anonymous one.

Publishers and OTT

Catalogue video, author interviews, series and licensed film, delivered under the same rights terms as the books.

Healthcare and medical training

Procedure recordings and CME material that must not leave the accredited cohort.

Corporate learning

Compliance and product training where the audience is contractual and completion has to be evidenced.

Coaching and test prep

High-value recorded batches in markets where re-selling recordings is an established business.

Events and broadcast

Paid live streams, with the same token and geography rules as on-demand.

Send us one video and one leak you are worried about.

We will come back with the protection profile — DRM level, watermark treatment, device policy — and what it costs to run at your volume.
